The Marvin sliding double French exterior doors which I installed in my home utilize a drainage system which allows rain to drain via tracks on the interior side (inside the house). Thus, every time it rains, I have accumulation of water in the tracks. It is designed to drain through weep holes to the exterior, but drainage is slow, with small amounts of water standing in the tracks 1-2 days... Read more

I am having a host of problems with Marvin Windows. Installation plus quality control issues. I have posted a couple of pictures on my facebook and will post more. I have washed these windows 4 times and it still appears to be something on the window. Blurry and awful. i was so looking forward to new windows and this has been an awful summer. I am trying to find a contractor to figure out... Read more

We built a new $2 m home and used both Marvin windows and exterior patio doors. The windows I ha no complaints but their doors suck. I called the distributor many times (warren windows) and after 6 months and 20+ phone calls they finally sent someone to inspect. They then took over 90 days to figure out a fix. They did their fix last fall and through the winter the fix failed. The seals and metal... Read more

We installed a new kitchen addition with 7 marvin windows, and a atrium door, 5 years later the threshold seal has broken downing our door, it is located where every time you enter the door you naturally step there, with air constantly coming under door (you actually can see outside). Called Marvin, they sent a repair man out, he looked at it and told me honestly we will try to fix it but it's a... Read more

We built a very large home in Redmond, WA in 1999. Since then, we've had problems with the locking rod not working, making a door unusable. Called the factory as the company from which we purchased the windows and doors no longer carries Marvin. Now I know why. The factory service person said that the part is no longer available and the only solution is to replace the entire door and door... Read more

I bought 3 french screen doors to go with the new Marvin Ultimate french doors. A Marvin rep in Camden, ME, helped me pick out various aspects of the screens from their catalogue. 6 weeks later, the screen doors were delivered and were defective so we sent them back, same day, to the Marvin dealer at EBS/Camden. That was a month ago. Since then, at least 4 Marvin reps have been "working on it".... Read more

We purchased 11 new Marvin casement windows last year only to see frost across the bottom of the glass every time it got below 0 this winter. We then applied shrink plastic & kept the humidity at 28% but still had frost. Last week we had 2 Marvin window techs come to inspect. What A JOKE! Before even looking at the windows their explanation was that everyone had frost on their windows because... Read more

My parents built their house in 1991. After about seven years, the springs in the sash lifters cut through the cast fitting that attaches to the sash, disconnecting the spring. Buy new springs and replace the lifters. Better do both at once while you're at it. Repeat every seven years or so. I wouldn't put them in my house if they were free. Did I mention the phony sash muttins? Flimsy at best,... Read more

I have a newly built sunroom. The architect recommended Marvin -- windows were important. The windows had this large square logo that was like a magnetic sticker; they seemed to peel off easily. I have done everything in my power, but the "square" is forever there; you cannot get it off. It may appear to be gone, but let a bright, sunny day come along, and there it is right in the middle of... Read more
