At the recommendation of our contractor chose Marvin Integrity as it supposedly is the best window he installs for customers. My research showed that Anderson is much better for the same or less cost at Home Depot. I deferred to his judgement as he would be on the hook for install, service and support. Bought three replacement windows and a french patio door. The windows look nice, compared to... Read more

We constructed a large custom home in 2000. Included were all custom Marvin Windows, and patio doors, all wood interiors, vinyl clad exterior . The set of sliding rear patio doors from our kitchen does not slide. The first time their rep came down and looked at it and said there wasNOTHING HE COULD DO! Seriously! Do you know what these doors cost. A year later, we were having some work done and... Read more

These were $800+each and these high end windows all have problems of never sealing out the cold or wind. They performed like $150.00 discount windows we originally had. After spending 35K to have every window in the house replacement with new construction models I should have kept the cheap windows. All bottom gasket jambs leak air as well as midpoint gaskets. Entire window was replaced due to... Read more

I have over 60 Marvin Windows, which were installed new when I built my home. Many double hung windows lost plastic pieces that dried out and fell off. However, ALL of the casement windows are rotting from the inside out. was told these would be lifetime purchases. Marvin inspected and said they no longer manufacture the casement windows this way due to their design defect, which allowed... Read more

Marvin Windows Doors - Rotted Marvin Windows 1 year after warranty
1 of 3

Marvin Windows are ***. Window's 11 years old have rotted frames. I've had a Marvin installer inspect the installation and was told that they were installed correctly. Not only has the wood rotted but the crank mechanism has pulled away from the window frame. On the exterior cladding sash - water will sit for days. I called Marvin and was basically told - the windows were out of warranty and... Read more

In Lancaster, Pennsylvania I was the founder, president and owner of LANCASTER BUILDING SUPPLY started in September, 1958. Over the years we developed a window and door department and sold and installed thousands of replacement windows – both vinyl and metal or vinyl clad wood windows. Of the many companies whose windows we sold was Marvin Window and Doors products. The Marvin Company was... Read more

I have tried everything I could possibly think of for years now and my windows and glass doors that I bought from "Marvin Windows & Doors" have always looked like they have a film on them or like I am looking through a room filled with smoke. We have lots and lots of windows and doors and they all look terrible! I can't believe how much we paid & will never be able to replace them! WE had... Read more

The Marvin sliding double French exterior doors which I installed in my home utilize a drainage system which allows rain to drain via tracks on the interior side (inside the house). Thus, every time it rains, I have accumulation of water in the tracks. It is designed to drain through weep holes to the exterior, but drainage is slow, with small amounts of water standing in the tracks 1-2 days... Read more

I am having a host of problems with Marvin Windows. Installation plus quality control issues. I have posted a couple of pictures on my facebook and will post more. I have washed these windows 4 times and it still appears to be something on the window. Blurry and awful. i was so looking forward to new windows and this has been an awful summer. I am trying to find a contractor to figure out... Read more

We built a new $2 m home and used both Marvin windows and exterior patio doors. The windows I ha no complaints but their doors suck. I called the distributor many times (warren windows) and after 6 months and 20+ phone calls they finally sent someone to inspect. They then took over 90 days to figure out a fix. They did their fix last fall and through the winter the fix failed. The seals and metal... Read more
